Throughout the city  of Baton Rouge volunteers can be seen cleaning debris, beautifying area homes and volunteering with local organizations in the name of Dr. Martin Luther King jr.  To honor  the man responsible for helping attain the freedoms many enjoy today citizens chose to give back . This gallery is celebrating those who chose to take the time to make Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day a day of service.

Resource Fair

The United way hosted a community resource fair featuring companies such, Just Kids Smiles, Capital Area Agency on Aging, Louisiana Family and Youth Service Center and many more.

Zachary High School Key Club

Zachary High School’s Interact club volunteered at the event by helping make sure volunteers were sent to the correct service sites.

Others gathered for the NAACP Baton Rouge Chapter’s annual program and march:
