Professor and political strategist Donna Brazile will be the guest speaker at United Christian Faith Ministries' Martin Luther King Scholarship Brunch, Saturday, January 13, at 10 a.m.
Brazile will speak on the theme "Redeeming the Times, Repairing the Breach."
"Her insight will guide us in achieving our mission, focusing on critical issues such as addressing voter apathy, our anti-gambling campaign, and intensifying our efforts to end violence in the community," said Kristie Perry, PhD, director, United Excel Social Justice Institute.
Six community leaders will be honored and UCFM will award scholarships to high school seniors and college students who are continuing a path of social justice.
